What can I say? Mike Gates was not only a close friend but we collaborated on many tracks as I recognized his sheer talent and brilliance, like many incredible producers they are not recognized in their own time as they simply think to far into the future and often produce music just to entertain themselves and follow no rules whatsoever which seldom leads to financial rewards. Mike was such an artist, I pat myself on the back fro recognizing this man's brilliance and versatility and putting out his music. Often times this music also gets missed by those who seek the "hot sounds of the moment" but I argue there would be no "hot or trendy sounds" at all if not for maestros like Mike Gates. I'm happy to say that I am sitting on loads of half baked and also finished projects by my good friend Mike (who also shunned mainstream hype) so keep your eyes peeled to our humble little Howlin' label (with roughly 250 followers) You loyal fans are in for a treat as I start to go through the mans work and reveal the tracks little by little (many that have my hand in production as well).. I feel like Mike is guiding me from another level of reality where he is currently making underground hits in heaven...
